At Howards we understand that your wedding dress is a very precious item and have implemented our Eight Point Cleaning Procedure.
Identify any marks for individual spot treatment together and any damage or wear that may need careful repair.
Images are taken of the dress when first received to ensure that the dress is finished correctly and any marks, damage and wear are identified.
For stained areas Pure direct biodegradable detergents are used in individual spot treatment to reduce the risk of fabric damage and enhance stain removal .

We identify any marks that may not have been removed during the process.
We expect any marks to be loosened by this stage but should we find a stubborn stain we will contact you directly to request permission to use a more searching detergent.
Each layer of the dress is delicately steam hand finished with the bodice carefully finished according to the original image/instruction.
The dress is then inspected by two team members, it is then packaged in a clear wedding gown bag, or one of our bespoke wedding boxes. We recommend a wedding box especially if the dress is being kept for several years .The dress would be carefully wrapped in acid free tissue to avoid yellowing prior to being placed in the box.

Due to the delicate nature of wedding dresses, we request at least two weeks in order to have your dress cleaned to our expected standard, this may be extended during busy periods. Should you require your dress cleaned urgently, please us know in advance 01743 236971.
